The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI technologies, data analytics, and leadership. They will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of our BI and analytics strategies to support data-driven decision making across the organization. As a Visa Sr. Director, you will work in a rapid-paced environment leading various Data and System Engineering teams developing next generation solutions for Visa. Basic Qualifications
12+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
*15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
* Proven experience in BI and analytics, with a strong track record of leading successful BI projects.
* In-depth knowledge of BI tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, QlikView, MicroStrategy).
* Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
* Experience solving data problems using data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, * Kafka, Redis, NoSQL, RDBMS).
* Experience with Analytics products (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy).
* Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL pipelines.
* Experience in building and pushing code into production.
* Experience in implementing and supporting real-time systems.
* Certification in BI tools or data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst * Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microstrategy).
* Experience with cloud-based BI and analytics solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
* Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
*Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
