(Responsibilities)


  • 6+ experience in operations and first level support, managing Linux/Unix servers and Unix Administration
  • Hands-on experience with on-Prem and Cloud DevOps Tools - CICD (Jenkins), source control (Git, TFS), GCP Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Container technologies (docker/Kubernetes), Managing load balancer, Deployment tools - Octopus (or any), Configuring monitoring tool (AppDynamics).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) systems like HashiCorp’s Terraform and Ansible
  • Knowledgeable and able to articulate standard application architectures from network to hosting.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one scripting language (Java, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Perl)  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in written and in verbal form are required due to the extensively collaborative role
  • Quick Learner with attention to detail
  • Always looking for process improvement and strongly taking the automation first approach
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing idea with ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Can conduct their own research or analysis of a topic that they themselves are unfamiliar with
  • Understanding of agile principles and experience working within an agile team.
  • Database knowledge SQL, ORACLE, & Cockroach is a large plus
  • Will play a critical role in supporting Enterprise applications and systems uptime management in production environments, through troubleshooting support, optimizing delivery, improving “self-healing” automation, as well as process improvement.
  • Define, metricize, and implement thresholds for application uptime and support.
  • Increase efficiency through the automation of manual processes.
  • Manage build deployment pipeline implementations for VM, MIG, & K8s hosted applications.
  • Own, construct, and implement monitoring in GCP, Thousand Eyes, Logic Monitor, and other tools for monitoring, alerting, and rectifying issues.
  • Monitor application performance and mitigate production outages.
  • Orchestrate the building of infrastructure (VMs, containers), databases, and network through code management.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis, present, and implement operational system uptime advancements through monitoring, automated system recovery mechanisms, and integrated solutions.
  • On-call support for production issues and system recovery is required.
  • Automate system maintenance activities, such as patching, deployments, and infrastructure configuration updates.
  • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before deployment

Other Duties:


  • Willingness to participate in our 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
  • Experience mentoring both other developers and more junior engineers.
