What you’ll do :

• Understand current and target technical strategy, product roadmaps and deliver solutions that are in-line with them.
• Lead & Own wholistic performance and scalability optimization project by collaborating with Architects
• Be the coach and evangelist of the processes for continuous improvement of performance, scalability, cost reduction and maintainability of the product stack
• Coach team members to become proficient in development & quality processes, and technologies used in the team, thereby increasing expertise and productivity.
• Continuously improve designs and implementations along with contributing significantly to the technical roadmap
• Possess a DevOps mindset, including ownership of features from development through to deployment in production.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement mindset in the people and showcase innovation in deliverables.
• Trouble shoot critical production/customer issues – arrive at short-term/mid-term and wholistic solutions

What you bring (Maximum character count 750)

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech (full-time) in Computer Science with 7-15 years of relevant experience with a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
• Experience in performance and scalability optimizations of Large Scale Distributed Systems, preferably enterprise application product.
• Hands-on experience in essential tools for performance testing and analysis such as APM (one of AppDynamics/Dynatrace/New-relic), Splunk advanced, JMeter, Gatling, Apache bench, Arthas etc
• Experience in implementing/optimizing horizontally scalable services (monolith/microservice)
• Expert in SQL query tuning, Caching decisions, CPU/Heap/Memory optimization, tail-latency based optimizations, CAP trade-offs etc
• Experience dealing with performance/scale/resiliency problems such as cache priming, thundering herd problem, crying wolf problem, network partitions, cross-continental slowness etc
• Proven track record in design and development of large scale distributed and highly concurrent applications using Java/JEE and related technologies.
• Expertise in Spring 3.0+, REST, OData, Kafka, ORM frameworks
• Thorough understanding of HTTP protocol including cookies, session persistence
• Proficient with Agile Methodologies, DevOps tools, Large scale production engineering processes etc
• Proficiency in any Front-end technologies React, Angular or any UI framework is an added advantage
• Proficiency in SaaS, multi-tenancy, Splunk and any public cloud offering (Azure preferable)
