Position Summary The person hired for this position will be part of a team whose objective and responsibility are software development utilizing a DevOps approach for cloud native projects in the Digital Product Center of Excellence. This position’s primary responsibility is to support 3M Divisions and Labs. A deep understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) systems, AWS/Azure, version control systems, CI/CD, and release pipelines is critical.

Additional Skills:


  • Primary contact for 3M teams to assist and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues using internal 3M deployment frameworks
  • Aids and consultation to other applications groups and work within cross-functional teams
  • Develops AWS/Azure application using cloud native technologies
  • Develops monitor, and troubleshoot applications in a cloud environment
  • Source code control using Git based repositories
  • Minimum six (6) years IT professional experience
  • Minimum four (4) years Software Development experience
  • Minimum two (2) years CICD pipeline experience
  • Direct hands on application development experience using CICD pipelines
  • Direct hands on experience deploying Infrastructure through scripting in a cloud environment
  • Experience debugging and resolving software issues with a pipeline environment
  • Expertise in designing software utilizing core AWS/Azure service offerings
  • Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems and/or Containers
  • Experience with IaaS tools including CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
  • Database exp - NoSQL Drone CI
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraints
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and team collaboration skills
  • AWS, Azure
  • Cloud Native
  • Infrastructure as code
  • Git Repository
  • Exposure to multiple Software languages (.NET,  JavaScript, Typescript)
  • A solid understanding in core web and browser concepts.
  • Experience with React or another modern JavaScript web framework (Angular, VueJS etc.).
  • Certification in Azure and/or AWS
  • Data interchange formats (XML, JSON, YAML)
  • Various build and deployment automation tools (Drone CI, MSBuild, Chef, Jenkins)
  • Cloud formation
  • IICS
  • Self motivated with great organizational skills.
