Join us.Job DescriptionWorks under limited supervision.Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).Develops and maintains electrical design standards and best practices for BIM projects.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other building components.Performs quality control checks on electrical BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.Troubleshoots and resolves complex electrical design issues within the BIM environment.Mentors junior designers and provides guidance on electrical BIM best practices.Participates in client meetings to present electrical design concepts and address technical queries.Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies in electrical BIM and incorporates them into projects as appropriate.Contributes to the development of project proposals and cost estimates for electrical BIM services.Ensures compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all electrical BIM designs.QualificationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferredMinimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design and BIM implementationProfessional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferredExtensive knowledge of electrical LV Distribution and Lighting systems for multi-use buildingsAdvanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and NavisworksWorking knowledge of other modeling and drafting software (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max) is advantageousDemonstrated experience in developing and maintaining electrical design standards for BIM projectsStrong understanding of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEC)Proven ability to lead and mentor junior designers in BIM best practicesExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical design issuesStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clientsExperience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processesFamiliarity with energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus) is a plusAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesWillingness to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical BIMAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
