Job Summary:
This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.
Responsibilities:
Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers to support the projects.
Strong focus on sheet metal part design, casting part design. Prepare layouts and concept designs, sketches and detailed drawings as required.
Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.
Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and project partners.
Provides design support for current production parts and products.
Feasibility study on VAVE projects.
Commit to deliver 100% QDC.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
6-9 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
Key Competencies:
Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Creo & Sheetmetal design
Having Windchill experience will be added advantage
Hands on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects.
Strong knowledge on sheet metal, Casting, Machining design and manufacturing processes.
Good knowledge and application of Tolerance stack up and analysis.
Good knowledge on Bill of Materials.
HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.
Good Oral and Written communication skills.
Must be able to adjust changing demands, priorities and objectives.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities of manufacturing and field issues.
Coach and develop team members.
Project management skills.
