Job Description:


A Senior DevOps Engineer builds and maintains infrastructure that supports the product. They use DevOps/SRE, systems administration, and software development to influence product architecture and evolution by crafting reliable cloud-based infrastructure for internal and external services. They partner with software development to curate Developer self-service tools and systems to empower our continuous deployment environment.

  • Diagnose and debug production incidents and then improve systems to prevent the problem from recurring


  • Monitor our environments, servers, and applications for health, performance and security


  • Collaborate with teammates to research, address technical needs and roadmap and develop new solutions


  • Mentor junior engineers


What you’ll do:


  • Design, maintain and improve automation in a way that promotes Developer self-service.


  • Excellent communication skills, ability to partner with product and design, and collaborate on multi-functional teams


  • Experience working with container deployment and orchestration technologies with knowledge of fundamentals including service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, and load balancing


Experience you’ll bring:


  • Exposure to Gitlab and/or New Relic preferred


  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm and Docker preferred


Requirements:


  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of related or equivalent experience


  • Extensive experience in a DevOps capacity


  • Experience with AWS Cloud services like EC2, RDS, S3


  • Build CI/CD orchestration.


  • Experience with Terraform, K8's and Gitlab, good Understanding of MSK Kafka


Travel Requirements:


While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Ability to perform tasks related to documentation, data analysis, transcription and extensive content analysis.
