Senior Database Developer, Private Capital Markets

We are hiring a Senior database developer to join our team in Hyderabad. This candidate will be a part of Kroll’s Private Capital Markets team which offers pathbreaking digital solutions. The role needs the person to work in Hybrid mode at our Hyderabad office and the work timings are 2pm -11pm IST.

The day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Work with global team lead to develop software based on acceptance criteria and technical specifications
• Work with global team to develop software based on acceptance criteria and technical specifications
• Work with product teams and other engineering leads to design the data model and develop related functions, stored procedures, views and etc… to support the data needs for overall product
• Work in a FinTech environment on a complex financial platform
• Work with the QA team to identify and resolve defects and bugs
• Investigate and document software issues for the other teams
• Work with local and U.S.-based teams to understand requirements in detail
• Develop the code to meet the defined coding standards
• Learn and demonstrate ability with new software development tools
• Provide leadership & guidance to junior team members

Essential traits:

• Minimum level of education required is BA/BS degree in computer science or other relevant educational or work experience; advanced degree is a plus
• At least 5+ years of experience on Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance/ Azure Synapse
• Experience in designing the data model for complex data entities
• Solid experience in writing the stored procedures, functions, views
• Experience with ETL/ ELT processes using ADF, Databricks, Synapse from various sources of data
• Troubleshoot complex queries in production environment to optimize the performance
• Experience managing the database permissions, backups and other admin related tasks
• Experience managing the repos for database scripts and DB deployments using DevOps pipelines
• Experience delivering and receiving content as JSON
• Experience with a version control system, preferably ADO/ Git
• Experience with application lifecycle management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
• Experience with reporting tools like PowerBI is a huge plus
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English
