Summary & Role Information:



You will be responsible for key database deliverables and to drive escalations and act as a technical specialist in the area of performance and troubleshooting of SAP HANA or Sybase ASE. Your role will be a database senior specialist. You will be SPOC for strategic customer contact from technical standpoint for SAP HANA or Sybase ASE. You would need to collaborate closely with our problem management team, incident management team, war room, technical architecture team, service engineering and discuss about potential performance issues with Development and de-escalate the situation.


 
You will have the opportunity to get exposure on the largest databases and largest scale-out systems available among customers, systems on different Hyperscalers like Azure, AWS, GCP starting from 64GB to 24TB.
In addition to this , you will be working on  innovation projects from the database perspective. 


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech / MS / MCA fulltime
 


Experience (Role requirements)



Minimum 10+ years database expertise and at least 5+ years on SAP HANA 
Deep technical understanding in SAP HANA .
Experience in DB installation, upgrade, planning, and implementation.
Experience in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.
Strong technical knowledge in Backup and recovery strategies, System Copies, High Availability and disaster recovery scenarios, Replication knowledge is must.
Knowledge in performance troubleshooting and optimization.
Well organized, willing to learn and own the topics and share the knowledge with the team.
Operational Exposure and On-call Experience.
Understanding of different Hyperscalers would be an added advantage.
Ability to drive escalation to closure by engaging with different stakeholders



Must Have Skills:



Replication Concepts
Backup & Recovery, Performance troubleshooting, Service Architecture, Encryption
General incident, troubleshooting skills, team work and collaboration. 
Linux Basic Knowledge
Shell Scripting / Ansible


Good to have skills:

SQL Programming skills
Power shell skills
Hyperscaler experience
Exposure to Agile Methodologies
