Job Description

The Customer Data Team drives practices and standards related to customer data, ensuring data controls are in play across our business processes and system landscapes.  When data change is initiated within the business, the Customer Data Team brings valuable experience, knowledge and techniques while driving the change, ensuring all date sets are transformed and or stored within our defined data governance rules and processes. The Customer Data Team has responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring and control and finalization of all data management activities.  The Customer Data Analyst role will actively pursue improvements and consistency to our data structures ensuring data change proposals are fit for purpose, drives decision making are aligned to our company data standards.   The Customer Data Analyst will work with various business Counterparts to drive data alignment, driving data consistency and accuracy ensuring improved process to the user and customer – working towards a single view of our customers, allowing for sales growth and consistent data reporting and analytics.Vision & StrategyProactively drives standard methodology related to data while looking at automation opportunities which offer business benefitManages and co-ordinates data disciplines to ensure data accuracy and consistency, while driving automation opportunities and processesKey ResponsibilitiesGood knowledge of master data rules and policies for effective customer data management – help drive practice and standardsActs as a data analyst within the customer data team, ensuring support to the business on customer data process activities like customer data transformation, data merging, account changes and archivingDocuments, understands and seeks to improve data processes for customer data, with technical consideration to downstream systems, ensuring process and data support the constantly evolving business needsHelps drive customer data strategy for strategic projects, where data transforms in line with the changing business need – with key involvement in projects like ACM, TAM, Data Archiving, Customer auditSeeks and drives constant improvement to process related to customer data management and team processes – ensuring data consistency and qualityCandidate should have a good understanding of customer account hierarchy processAct as domain expertise on customer data flows, rules, and processes across multiple systems, acts as a strategic partner for customer data projects, leading change and quality of outcomeWorks across organization boundaries too successfully drive data integrity and consistencyLimits impacts and ensures business process alignment, providing audit and control of customer data attributes as they flow through the system architectureAssists to establishes rules and procedures for data sharing to internal and external sources, documenting and process mapping as requiredArticulates customer data reporting needs and drives rules, understanding data extraction activities while driving automation opportunities and process benefitsTrouble shoots data related problems and maintenance, modification requestsCollaborates with data partners across the organisation tracking data progress and metric productionSupports regulatory and audit needs related to customer aspectsCollaborates with the systems groups to ensure data is updated in a structured way, ensuring reduction of data discrepancies across the system landscape while ensuring data control in terms of data quality and consistencyLiaises with the business process teams to ensure new process and functionality limits the data structural discrepanciesShould be able to assist weekly data job submission processREQUIREMENTS4 + years of experience in business operations, Business Analysis, Projects and or operational management4 + year of experience in data management within the organization with specific experience related to customer data and data modelling projectsAble to demonstrate strong project analysis and management skills, able to manage across teams and customersStrong analytical, organization and prioritization skills, able to demonstrate cross data and system knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skills required. Solid English language skills are required.Demonstrated experience in projects with experience in complex and multiple process and systems.Experience working with different cultures.Demonstrates strong interactions across the business (e.g. decisiveness and be seen as a reliable decision-maker by others, act in line with LSEG values and integrity).Builds effective relationships and partners with others to develop joint solutions. Able to deals with difficult customer (internal & external) situations with a professional and resourceful manner for resolution..Ability to influence multi-functional teams without formal authority, lead changeExtensive knowledge of various businesses and products/services.Able to document and demonstrate detailed understand of master data processes and system interactionsLSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
