The Team: The Quality function at S&P Global Market Intelligence division is responsible forestablishing quality of data collected by operational teams. The data quality team is accountable for quality practices to simulate quality as experienced by our customers. Collaborate with operational teams in defect prevention and elimination efforts, furthermore, influence the design of processes and help organization drive process reengineering/transformational efforts.



The Impact: TheSenior Data Quality Specialist for Data Quality is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency of data in various data sources used by the organization teams. The Specialist will work closely with teams, including the DataOperations and Quality team and business stakeholders, to ensure that data quality standards are met and maintained. Data quality is the bedrock of everything we do at S&P.

Responsibilities:



  • Conducting quality checks on data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and identify defects in data quality



  • Working with stakeholders across various departments to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of tasks



  • Maintaining documentation and records of quality checks, and participating in the development and implementation of quality control procedures



  • Analyzing data and providing insights to stakeholders, identifying opportunities to improve data quality across the Quality organization



  • Developing and implementing data quality standards, policies, methodologies, and guidelines, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure they are met



  • Designing and executing data quality audits and checks, and analyzing audit results to identify and address data quality issues



  • Monitoring data quality metrics and developing plans to address any issues, including delivering training on data quality best practices and standards, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the quality team




  • Conducting data quality assessments and audits to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and developing and maintaining data quality scorecards and dashboards to track performance



  • Developing and executing data cleansing and enrichment strategies to improve data quality, and maintaining data quality documentation and training materials for end-users



  • Collaborating with data governance and compliance teams to ensure that data quality policies and procedures comply with regulatory requirements



  • Participating in cross-functional projects to support data quality initiatives and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies related to data quality.



What We’re Looking For:



  • A full-time MBA or bachelor's degree in finance is preferred



  • At least 2 years of experience in Data Quality Management or a related field of Data Operations.



  • Strong understanding of data quality concepts, tools, and techniques, with experience working with data quality tools.



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.



  • Knowledge of SQL and Automation tools, as well as reporting and visualization tools such as Python, Blue Prism, Tableau, and Power BI, is a plus.



  • Exposure to working in two or more functions within the Data organization, including Operations, Data Management, and Data Quality, is highly preferable.



  • Prior experience working in a reporting and analytics team is an added advantage.



  • Strong analytical skills and a data-oriented mindset, with the ability to make data-based decisions and handle competing priorities.



  • A willingness to give their best under any circumstances and work in shifts if needed.



  • A customer-focused mindset.
