About the Job- 

This unique career opportunity is for a highly experienced Data Engineer with broad-based data skills in designing & building data warehouses, data lakes and real-time and batch data integrations. The successful candidate should have hands-on implementation experience in Big Data technologies, event processing frameworks and ETL tools.

The Data Engineering team at First Citizens Bank is responsible for delivering data solutions that support all lines of business across the organization. This includes providing data integration services for all batch data movement; managing and enhancing the data warehouse, Data Lake, and dependent data marts; providing support for analytics and business

Once here, you will-

• Performance tuning of complex SQL queries.
• Performance tuning of complex data pipelines.
• Create data ingestion pipelines in data warehouses and other large-scale data platforms.
• Create Data Ingestion pipeline for a variety of sources – File (Flat, delimited, Excel), DB, API (With Apigee integration), and SharePoint.
• Creating scheduled as well as trigger-based ingestion patterns using Redwood scheduler.
• Build/manage CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab runner.
• Build reusable Data Pipelines/frameworks using Python.
• Working with Product Owners to understand PI goals, PI planning, requirement clarification, and delivery coordination.
• Working with the Team (Technical and delivery) to deploy & validate team deliverables, PI planning, JIRA creation and management, release planning and execution, CR creation, and other release readiness activities.
• Working in Agile Framework, participating in various agile ceremonies, co-ordination with scrum master, tech lead, and PO on sprint planning, backlog creation, refinement, demo, and retrospection.
• Ensuring proper availability of the services.
• Suggesting new technology as applicable.
• Technical support for incident tickets escalated to the team.

What you will bring -

• Overall experience of 7+ Years with significant experience in Data Engineering 
• Expert level ETL pipelines Development experience, preferably in SAP Data Services(Business Objects Data Services) and/or Informatica IICS for data extraction, data curation, and writing data into various targets.
• Expert-level experience in performance tuning complex SQL queries.
• Expert-level experience in performance tuning complex Data Pipelines.
• Experience in building Data Pipelines & frameworks using Python.
• Job scheduling/orchestration tool experience preferably in Redwood Scheduler.
• Experience using Source/version control preferably Gitlab.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab runner.
• Exposure to Ansible playbooks.
