We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- The is role is for the Service Transition & Change Assurance Lead for the Global Production Engineering team within Risk & Compliance. Being engaged in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), the individual will contribute effectively in all of the phases of the SDLC. Starting with planning phase, the individual will enhance the change management process for existing and new applications major changes, establish a thorough on-boarding & non-functional requirements adherence process. The individual will continuously maintain a central book of change and new application onboarding backlog, ensuring that resource demand is understood & risks are identified and made transparent to Senior management.
- Service Transition & Change Assurance Lead will review (with Service Line Leads and Service Leads) upcoming changes from a production on-boarding perspective, reviews leading all the way up to production for new applications and new functionality for existing applications. They will continually drive the standards and adherence to the onboarding and change process and non-functional requirements ensuring applications are built with stability in mind and require minimal manual processes in day-to-day production support activities.
- Ensuring service solutions are operable, recoverable, and maintainable and are transitioned into production with the minimal disruption
- Liaise with stakeholders from the Service Line development team or existing production team management, ensuring entry/exit criteria are defined and agreed
- Driving the onboarding of applications into the Production Engineering space, working closely with the Service Lead
- Define and agree fit for purpose end-to-end service models, aligned to best practice. Leadership and oversight of the configuration and transition to/within Production Engineering. Managing all BAU change across all assets and infrastructure in Production Engineering
- Accountable and in control of changes and releases to the production environment and ensuring the integrity and stability, this includes escalations, exemptions and change freezes . Provide clear and concise communication of change and release issues and risks to relevant stakeholders across the organisation, including pre and post implementation reviews.
- Ensure appropriate governance, assurance and risk management is in place to protect integrity and stability of services, including upgrade and rollback procedures. Ensuring that releases are properly assessed, approved, and released successfully into the operational environment, through chairing the weekly CAB calls.
- Ensure that adequate testing has been carried out on all relevant releases before they are deployed to prod, to include that all back out plans have been checked and approved and resources are available to carry out any changes.
- Support the incident and problem management processes to ensure that fixes and changes are applied to the production environment safely and in a controlled manner
- Champion and communicate the methodology, processes and documentation for release Management and service transition
