The role of our ideal candidate will include but not limited to


As a Clinical Data IT Tech DevOps Lead & Release manager, you will be a key member of the Clinical Standards Product IT DevOps Team to support the Clinical Data Flow


The IT Tech DevOps Lead /Release manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with Platform Manager, Product Manager/Owner, Senior Platform Engineers and Solution/Integration Architects within AZ to establish best practices for software development and engineering, business analysis, solution designs, enterprise software integration and project management within BizDevOps IT Platform Delivery Model.


Able to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to define requirements and develop implementation plans.


Provides final go / no-go decision regarding requests to utilize custom functionality.


Monitor system change requests. Ensure adherence to IT standards, works with the clinical project team to identify system changes, and ensure completion of the changes through its life cycle.


Provide guidance and assist in the preparation of system related specifications and documentation.


Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues


Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with life-cycle methodology and risk guidelines


Able to work on application enhancements, application upgrades when necessary. Open to work on challenging tasks/requirements when needed.


Able to liaise with other internal teams/vendors (third-party suppliers) as applicable for addressing an application issue and in case of any project need.


Send detailed and timely communication to users in case of planned/unplanned outage. Able to lead an outage call and drive it to resolution.


Follow good documentation practices such as creating KBAs (Knowledge Base Articles) and publishing it for quicker and easier access to better address the issues/tickets.


Create technical backlogs/Story/Epic in JIRA (as appropriate) and work on it based on the product priority.




Essential Skills/Experience Required:


Clinical Data Technology Domain:


Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or life science related discipline with IT/CRO/Pharma experience with total of 10-12 years of experience


Minimum 7-8 years working experience in clinical data management, clinical data analytics and visualization. clinical data programming experience is a plus.


End to end knowledge of clinical trial development processes and its associated system landscape.


Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Automated Testing tools.


Experience working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and SAFe.


Knowledge of the drug development process and clinical trial execution as they relate to data collection, management, analytics, and reporting.


Experience working with EDC, IRT, third party data handling or other clinical data system implementations.


Excellent understanding of industry standard best practices as related to clinical trials (study set up, clinical operations, data management and reporting).


Knowledge of general medical coding in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry including knowledge of medical dictionaries, coding tools, and coding governance models.


Working knowledge of CDASH, SDTM, SEND or ADaM, and CDISC controlled Terminology in context of clinical data.


Working knowledge of clinical trial terminology.


Strong knowledge of ICH/G guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical trial methodology and software development lifecycle activities.


IT Engineering:


•Expertise and engineering mindset to help design and implement Clinical Data Solutions adhering to Products on Platform Strategy.


•Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and ensure delivery to a high degree of satisfaction.


•Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.


•Confidently communicate and interpersonal skills to lead customers, from technical personnel to senior stakeholders, in urgent and critical situations.


• Knowledge of Identity management solution based on AZURE, OKTA, Oauth, Ping Federate/AD technologies.


• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, AZURE.


•Experience programming in .Net or other object-oriented programming languages.


•Experience delivering or developing workshop material, training, gap analyses, orrequirements gathering sessions with business and system stakeholders.


•Certification in an IT delivery framework as a Scrum Master and/or in the DevOps Lead role
