ABOUT OUR R&D IT PLATFORM:
AstraZeneca is making significant investments in our IT Platform Capabilities to manage business demand around IT solutions and deliver value faster adopting Agile DevOps delivery model specifically tailored towards individual platform requirements for R&D Patient Safety Value Stream. This includes the business-as-usual demand and burst projects of varying complexities. As part of this capability built, we are looking for the individual to play the role of a Project Manager within the R&D Patient Safety value stream mainly focussed on Oracle Argus.
The Project Manager has experience delivering a range of small scale to large scale project/program implementations. The Project Manager operates with interactive communication, demonstrating inclusion and cultural sensitivity. The role will partner with the platform team members, business product/process owners, product managers, SMEs to support the development of solutions across the R&D Patient safety value stream, ensuring that the proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Projects/Programs - Operates at a functional level in assessing and defining business need. Proactively seeks out opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals, proposing potential solutions through research. Agree on implementation plans with all stakeholders involved and track/deliver to the plan. Manage inter-dependencies between projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Manage changes to project scope, identify risks and mitigation plan.
Manage Platform/Project/Program Budgets – Single point of contact to manage the budget of the overall Patient Safety platform including services, licenses, maintenance and any unplanned/one-time spend across the platform. In case of burst projects/initiatives, estimate the cost and manage the budget of the same. Propose cost efficient ways of working and drive implementation.
Stakeholder Relationships - Effectively identifies business and IT stakeholders, builds and maintains relationships according to individual stakeholder needs and levels of influence. Contributes to communication plans and change management for projects and stakeholders.
Contract Renewals and Negotiations – Initiate contract renewals on time, include procurement teams, negotiate with suppliers and work with the delivery excellence team to ensure contracts are signed on time to ensure compliance of the BAU components/environments.
Business Case and Benefits Management – Supports the business case definition, capturing business justification for investment including ROI and benefits realization.
Solution Evaluation - Analyses and assesses solution proposals and able to articulate supporting reasoning. i.e. assessing business value, maximizing value vs. spend.
Work collaboratively with
Business Relationship Managers and platform team members (Platform lead, DevOps lead, Release manager, Business Analysts, testers etc.) to develop and maintain relationships, support implementations and act as point of contact for deliverables.
Business SMEs to identify business requirements and effectively communicate impact, support or facilitate progress of initiatives.
Product Owners/Manager to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability, and competitiveness.
Delivery Excellence team, Service Excellence team and Procurement to ensure all BAU contracts are active and managed without any compliance risks.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
Prior experience, business acumen and functional understanding of R&D Patient Safety space.
Experience with project management and delivery methodologies. Experience of using PMO tools/techniques to plan and track initiatives.
Strong engagement, communication and facilitation skills, including presentation, team management and influencing skills.
Experience of working in a GxP environment
Experience of working and negotiating with third party suppliers/vendors

DESIERED SKILLS:
Experience working in Platform ways of working and DevOps model
Handling delivery of Argus technical implementations
Degree in relevant discipline or formal certification
Exposure to Agile Methodologies and JIRA

Pharma, Healthcare
OVERALL YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of relevant IT Project Management experience
