Senior Clinical Data Science Programmer-Bengaluru/ Chennai- Hybrid

4+ years of experience in SAS programming role.


Functional Knowledge:
• Excellent functional knowledge of at least two areas of clinical data science programming (CDMS, data validation, data ingestion and extraction, risk management and analytics)and the software development lifecycle.
• Understands and is able to support colleagues with the clinical trials environment and concepts of Clinical Data Management Systems.
Business Expertise:
• May be the primary point of contact during the study set up phase for system programming related questions by the project team.
• Independently performs reviews of database specifications, and programs in at least one to two Clinical Data Management and/or Electronic Data Capture systems
• Reviews other study-related documents and helps to support comments from the study team and client
• Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders in order to elicit business requirements, identify dependencies and support the creation of specifications for most medium-to-high complexity data review and analytic outputs.
• Program most medium-to- high complexity data ingestion, CDMS, data review/risk management outputs, custom reports and programs
• Communicate most medium-to -high complexity analytics requirements and solutions effectively to other team members and stakeholders
• May program clinical study database screens (eCRF) per provided specifications.
• Design and build cross-page visualisation solutions in analytics tools; build information models, including database write-back; write R and python scripts as required.
• Performs data refreshes of data review and analytics outputs as needed, and provides feedback on any discrepancies.
• Tracks and keeps functional management and those responsible for project management informed of any issues that might affect project target dates, scope or budget and escalates potential problems effectively and in a timely manner.
• Perform extracts of data from CDMS and creation of data transfer programs.
• Independently assures quality of own programming outputs and supports validation activities per the formal, documented QC process.
• Good understanding of project level revenue recognition/forecasting process
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as required
Leadership:
• May serve as the project-specific Programmer Lead for one or more projects with responsibility for all project programming deliveries on a team or portfolio level, directing, with assistance, other Clinical Data Science Programmers as required within service and quality expectation and, in project lead role, actively participates in client meetings and audits.
• Acts as mentor and provides guidance and support to more junior programmer levels assigned to a project.
• Embrace and contribute to a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining processes and adding value to the business and client needs.
• Travel (approximately 0%) domestic and/or international.
• Typical years of experience 3+. An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered in place of the education and experience stated
Problem Solving:
• Problems are differing but related. Solutions are not readily apparent. Undertakes analysis and investigation to identify and define problems. Work is done independently, reviewed at critical points.
• May need to apply advanced data manipulation techniques as part of analytics solutions to clinical analytics. Problems.
• Assists in the development and implementation of improvements to technical systems and processes within an SME role.
