Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Manager – Cash Management
  • Member of the Finance SSC Team
  • Liaison with Internal and External Auditors
  • Banks and Group Treasury
  • Senior Finance Managers/Controllers/Directors for banking activities · Regional Controller
  • Maintenance of Cash Books in multiple currencies for assigned entities
  • Upload of bank transactions and balances into SAP
  • Preparation of the bank account reconciliation in accordance with the established timetable
  • Manage Manual Payments via banking templates or direct input into the bank portals Verification of the bank details for new or changed payees
  • Management of Direct Debits and Standing Orders
  • Manage foreign exchange risk and hedging in collaboration with the Group Treasury team
  • Manage associated cash pools and their funding requirements with the Group treasury team
  • Management of cash receipts and payments for allocation to vendor and customer accounts
  • Support in the preparation of rolling forecasts & estimates.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with financial & business controls required by the Division/Group and external auditors.
  • Other general accounting activities as required
  • Support to Internal and External audits
  • Support to Shared Service Team as required


The Individual

Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • A professional accounting qualification is desirable
  • 3-5 year of cash management experience in a Shared Service team
  • Professional and strong understanding of IFRS, foreign currency risk and international banking
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter with an ability to think logically
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Focused on continuous improvement
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Strong numeric background.
  • Experience working in a cash management or treasury environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office especially in Excel (Lookup, Pivots, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP – Essential
