A vacancy for an IT Commodity Buyer has arisen within Airbus India Procurement Team. The successful applicant will join 'Information Management Commodity - AIPJI in the General Procurement function.
We are actively seeking to strengthen our team and are looking for experts or high potential in a field of technology or business relevant to one or more of the focus areas of IM & Digital capabilities (IT Services, Software, Cloud services, Cybersecurity technologies, ...) for respective sub commodity
Role & Responsibilities
Global Sourcing
Strategic Sourcing - Support Airbus Procurement in creating and formulating the roadmap for IT supply chain in India & region.
Governance - Implement governance plans and track project / relationship health, to coordinate Multi Functional Teams, trans-national and / or trans-divisional covering Airbus Group business entities.
Call for tender Management - Lead cross-functional teams within the framework of local and global procurement projects - Involve further where required other relevant functions - Run the suppliers selection process, negotiation process, costing & contractual discussions.
Benchmarking: Develop solutions to contribute to the company’s strategy and goals as needed/requested by leadership for the respective sub commodities.
GIC Procurement
Establish and maintain detailed procurement project planning
Lead & Execute procurement process as a buyers and take end-to-end accountability for IT Services right from Sourcing to Ordering for Purchase of goods or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
Perform Contract Management based on consistent and factual KPIs, evaluate and improve suppliers' performance in terms of time, costs and quality.
Contribute to business case development (incl. validation of procurement baseline)
Represent Company to maintain & manage relationship with suppliers offering IT services
In the frame of risk management, assess suppliers' overall performance and initiate recovery actions
Support management of deliveries, GRNs, and process returns to vendors.
Provide advice and support to the business, understanding their requirements and guiding them to the most appropriate technology products and services
Prepare and maintain compelling and executive ready slides for weekly, monthly, quarterly and other ad-hoc executive briefings, reviews and other key meetings with stakeholders
Drive compliant Airbus General Procurement processes and ensure supplies apply rules, standards and business practice in accordance with Airbus policies.
Qualifications and Experience Levels
Master’s / MBAmandatory in fields like Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Business etc
Minimum 5+ years of working experience in Procurement / Sourcing, with overall min. 10 years of relevant industry experience preferably in IT / Sales / Manufacturing
Strong in Project / program management with at-least 5 years experience
Offshoring / Outsourcing experience is a plus.
Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
Experience of working closely with suppliers or external vendors
Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within an GIC or GBS
Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, processes, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Candidate is able to / should be
Have a high level of autonomy but not individualist, able to work with remote management and colleagues in distributed teams.
Understand Engineering or IT services processes, Agile frameworks exposure would be ideal
Working knowledge of ERP systems including data analysis and reporting
Proficient in MS Office, Google suite, Advance Excel and Presentations
Speak fluently in English
Act in ethical manner and shows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings
Assertive, Resilient, Proactive in contributions to the team management
Self aware, optimistic, active listener, willing to learn
Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate. Convey verbal and written information effectively to all stakeholders (European / Indian) and across multiple levels of hierarchy
