The Senior Business Analyst, Shared Services Support PMO is responsible for being a subject matter expert (SME) with regards to the business logic embedded within FTS supported systems. This SME knowledge is used to support queries from business units on information within the production environment providing a central point of contact to ensure quick turnaround of critical issues, system enhancements, and with the identification and correction of system bugs. SME knowledge is also used extensively in support of initiatives contributing to FTS Corporate Priorities. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible and accountable for the delivery and quality of business logic enhancements and project efforts. The Senior Business Analyst provides FTS with efficient business/systems solutions by capturing, documenting, and utilizing FTS knowledge assessing operational needs to improve efficiency, workflow and cost reductions in achieving FTS goals. This role relies on SME FTS system/business knowledge/background/experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for guiding BA in performance of their daily role.
Business Unit Consultation:
Analyze workflow and make recommendations for implementing improvements related to business processes
Evaluate/propose/design/acquire systems and applications for meeting business needs. Identify functionality changes or enhancements that may be needed or missed from solution documentation
Assist in System Education of Business Units where needed, ensuring previous issues/questions are transparent to users to avoid duplication of queries.
System enhancement and implementation:
Responsible for acting as System Matter Expert (SME), analyzing and reviewing business/system requirements
Participation in Project lifecycle which may include meetings regarding CBAs, Charters, Project Plans.
Coordinate project according to project plans for BUPOC and smaller initiatives
Responsible for preparation of Development Systems for Testing accountable for pre-UAT Testing
Resolve complex testing issues with users and project team
Responsible for ensuring that the systems production environment is ready for enhancement implementation (e.g. rules, reports, account set ups etc)
Coordinate and communicate with users, System Administration and/or FTT team members to implement system changes
Assist users with post implementation issues
Responsible for ensuring that documentation on all system changes are included within structured documentation of FTS system business logic, and changes to business logic within FTS systems and ensuring PMO WIKIs are updated
Evaluate success of enhancements, upgrades, or implementation and determine follow up actions if necessary to assure timely completion of project tasks
Business Support/System Support and Solutions:
Address complex user system and process queries and assist BA with escalated issues.
Act as a subject matter expert on internal systems and middle and back office business processes
Maintain existing systems reports & advise business of best solution for amendments/new requests
Design and write complex reports to extract data from systems
Create functional and report specifications for systems and applications
Perform Monthly Release Testing for bugs/enhancements, working closely with FTT.- Communicate business benefits to business units.
Participates in discussions to identify root causes of business or technical problems
Identify System bugs/enhancements & perform write ups. Communicate with FTT/Business to ensure awareness & assign appropriate business priority levels. Establish workaround if needed.
Use business expertise to recommend solutions to moderate business support inquiries where required
Leadership and mentoring:
Coaches others in the team and outside business units on how FTS systems work and impact business processes, and shares experience and knowledge of these systems.
Promotes adoption of FTI Project Lifecycle, tools & best practices.
Assists others to remove system challenges & overcome obstacles to meet deadlines/support the business
Share System knowledge with other Solutions Analysts & train where required
Direct others through testing phase
Assists others with making decisions by providing system expertise
Workflow Analysis:
Gather and document business processes/systems requirements
Making recommendations for implementing improvements related to business processes
Analyzing workflow and proposing improvements
Responsible and accountable for reviewing, developing, produce and/or analyze management reports for monitoring process efficiencies and effectiveness as applicable
Other duties:
Maintain good working relationships with project team members, internal customers and partners, and external service vendors
Perform other duties as requested by PMO Management
Seek training opportunities to ensure continual improvement
Complete Tracking for own IPP
Bachelor's degree / associate degree or 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
Solid knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin, Simcorp Dimension familiarity with other FTS Core Systems like Charles river & OneTIS, System workflow & System Data is a requirement.
Solid knowledge or experience in business analysis for projects, working with financial and /; or securities systems and related reporting tools
technical writing/training when required
Solid working knowledge of investment management operations, systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Solid knowledge to perform computer systems analysis, development, and conversion of data
Solid knowledge of Securities, financial services, or accounting industry
Work Shift Timing - 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM IST
