Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field / or related work experience.
- 5+ years of IT experience as scrum master or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
- Background in data engineering is a strong benefit.
Skills
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork.
- Adaptable and open to change.
- Results-oriented with a proactive mindset.
- Atlassian Suite of Products (JIRA, Confluence, Stash)
- Databases/SQL
- Cloud Technologies (AWS)
- Web Services/APIs
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Provide guidance to team members on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and self-organization.
- Remove Obstacles: Identify and address impediments that may hinder the team's progress and help them achieve their goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure clear communication of priorities and requirements.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track team progress using metrics and dashboards; report on team performance and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Promote Agile Culture: Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and respect within the team and across the organization.
- Conduct training sessions on Agile methodologies and practices for new team members and stakeholders.
- Work with other Scrum Masters to enhance Agile practices across the organization.
