Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field / or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of IT experience as scrum master or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
  • Background in data engineering is a strong benefit.

Skills


  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork.
  • Adaptable and open to change.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Atlassian Suite of Products (JIRA, Confluence, Stash) 
  • Databases/SQL
  • Cloud Technologies (AWS) 
  • Web Services/APIs 
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.) preferred.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Provide guidance to team members on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and self-organization.
  • Remove Obstacles: Identify and address impediments that may hinder the team's progress and help them achieve their goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure clear communication of priorities and requirements.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track team progress using metrics and dashboards; report on team performance and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Promote Agile Culture: Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and respect within the team and across the organization.
  • Conduct training sessions on Agile methodologies and practices for new team members and stakeholders.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to enhance Agile practices across the organization.
