We're looking for a passionate Senior BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team within the Commodity Insights division at S&P Global. Responsibilities and Impact:


  • Transform Data into insights: Design and develop stunning Power BI dashboards that turn complex datasets into actionable insights, helping our stakeholders make informed decisions.


  • Master data pipelines: Utilize your SQL expertise to write and optimize queries that drive our ETL processes, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and ready for analysis.


  • Harness the power of Python: Leverage Python for data manipulation and advanced analytics, automating processes that enhance our reporting capabilities.


  • Innovate with AI: Bring your exposure to AI into play by exploring machine learning models and predictive analytics that can revolutionize our data strategies.


  • Collaborate and inspire: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and share your insights, encouraging a data-driven culture across the organization.


  • Mentor the next generation: Share your knowledge and experience with junior developers, guiding them in best practices and innovative BI solutions.


  • Stay ahead of the curve: Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest BI, AI, and data analytics trends, and be a thought leader in proposing enhancements to our current processes. 


What We are Looking For:-


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field


  • 5+ years of professional experience in executing BI projects, focusing on dashboard development using Power BI or similar tools and deploying them on their respective online platforms for easy access.


  • Proficiency in working with various databases such as Redshift, Oracle, and Databricks, using SQL for data manipulation, and implementing ETL processes for BI dashboards.


  • Experience with running programs, managing senior stakeholders and establishing effective communication with them in a timely manner, considering the significant visibility this role entails.


  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and data warehousing concepts.


  • Experience with building BI solutions for difficult problems. Solutions must be efficient, testable, maintainable, and resistant to data quality issues.


  • Strong exposure to GenAI concepts and tools such as ChatGPT.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to self-start and succeed in a fast-paced environment.


  • Experience with to Agile Project Implementation methods.


Additional/Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft Fabric a plus.


  • Ability to write complex SQL queries or enhance the performance of existing ETL pipelines is a must.


  • Familiarity with Azure Devops will be an added advantage.


  • Candidates with a strong background/proficiency in Power BI and Power Platforms tools such as Power Automate/Apps, and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python are preferred.


  • Candidates with prior people management experience is a plus.


Shift Timings:- 2PM-11PM IST (Flexibility Required)
