What you will do


In this role, as a UI Developer you will be responsible for programming components, features, and feature sets. This role requires working under direction of senior software engineer and contributing to the immediate team and other teams across the business. The UI Developer will also contribute to design discussions.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
  • Work with Product Owners to understand product requirements and translate requirements into a prioritized list of user stories.
  • Deliver to required timelines and write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the selected technology for the project.
  • Eliminate duplication by using product and technology reuse.
  • Support process improvements that guide development, sustaining, and support activities.
  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring, and Testing Techniques.
  • Proactively share information across the team with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.

What we expect of you


Basic Qualifications:


  • Experienced in developing custom frontend web applications and web Components. Proficiency in React framework, HTML5, and CSS. Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Experience with RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Ability to understand issues, present clear rationale, and provide resolution.
  • Continuously measures deliverables against scheduled commitments and escalate risks.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest and others.

Education and Professional Certifications


  • Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors with a minimum of 3 years of Information Systems experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors with a minimum of 5 years of Information Systems experience.
  • AWS Developer certification (preferred)
  • Any SAFe Agile certification (preferred)

Soft Skills:


  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts.
  • Awareness of industry trends.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Persistence to completion, especially in the face of setbacks, and the ability to push for results through team spirit.
  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
