About the Role


We are looking for a detail-oriented and problem-solving Senior Associate - Finance to manage bookkeeping and ensure accurate financial transactions for our India Office. This role involves passing journals, processing payments, making adjustments, handling month-end closures, and drafting compliance reports related to GST, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements. The role also requires collaboration with departments like Admin and HR to ensure seamless operations. 


What You’ll Do


Financial Operations:


  • Record daily financial transactions in the company’s accounting system.
  • Process payments through the banking portal, including vendor, supplier, and employee transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of accounts payable invoices into the accounting tool and process payments in accordance with approval processes.
  • Create accounts receivable invoices and record receipts.
  • Handle reimbursements and bank & credit card-related entries. 

Reconciliations & Reporting: 


  • Perform monthly reconciliations for cash, bank, and credit card balances, as well as vendor accounts.
  • Prepare GST and TDS return data on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end journals, including prepaids, provisions, depreciation, work papers, and reconciliations.
  • Generate cash flow, bank, and MIS reports on a weekly/monthly basis. 

Compliance & Audits: 


  • Draft and review compliance reports for GST, TDS, advance tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Assist in internal and external audit queries.
  • Stay updated on statutory laws related to payroll, including gratuity and provident fund.

Collaboration: 


  • Work closely with Admin and HR teams to streamline inter-departmental queries and processes.
  • Support other departments as required to maintain operational efficiency. 

What We’re Looking For


Education & Experience: 


  • CA Intermediate (semi-qualified) with 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Industry experience in accounting and taxation, with expertise in TDS and GST. 

Technical Skills: 


  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally or Zoho.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong understanding of India GAAP and Taxation.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for inter-department collaboration.
