Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.


The role is an integral part of EDDS and supports Customer 360, an AXP-wide capability that provides a global enterprise view of entities (that have or had an American Express relationship with at least one product or service globally), comprehensive insights and linkages. This is fundamentally reshaping our ecosystem and the way we engage with our customers by leveraging industry leading Amex data assets, next-gen machine learning algorithms and Big Data environment.


 We are seeking an experienced data science professional and problem-solver to serve as Sr. Assoc- Digital Product Management, C360. Key responsibilities for this role would be providing analytical support to improve data quality and accuracy of customer data and linkage frameworks, serving all the analytics needs for C360. Part of this role will be to work with platform owners for deployment of analytical solutions to improve customer data in Customer 360, enrich data and enhance accuracy to drive Amex economics in various areas – marketing, new accounts acquisition and onboarding, risk management, customer servicing, customer management, credit & collections etc.


Job Responsibilities


  • Analytical support to improve accuracy of customer data and linkages in Customer 360.
  • Create and maintain Entity resolution frameworks using string matching algorithms to support C360 linkage ecosystem.
  • Create arbitration system across different data systems to store latest and greatest data in customer 360.
  • E2E ownership of analytical needs for the product
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to data quality standards
  • Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify any gaps, find solutions to elevate data quality and performance at product level.
  • Partner with product owners and tech leads to deploy data science solutions in an Agile environment
  • Maintain an external lens to inform decisions and business strategies

Qualification Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics and building data science solutions
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information security, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other relevant qualification
  • Experience with delivering business solutions across a variety of platforms and technologies/tools such as Big Data, Pyspark, Hive/SQL, Scala, Python, Advanced Excel
  • Experience with applying rigorous solution-oriented analyses to deliver scalable solutions in the product space
  • Exposure to implementation of complex data products
  • Strong program management, analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
