It begins with a Card Member using an American Express Card at one of our millions of Merchants around the world – the rest is up to us. The Network Acquirer Solutions team (NAS) is the heart of the American Express Enterprise, powering billions of transactions through the global payments processing network that we develop and manage. 

How will you make an impact in this role? 

NAS is unique within the Enterprise. We work across almost every American Express business unit as well as external partners, providers, and key industry stakeholders. We are known to be intellectually curious and problem solvers as we tackle the most imperative initiatives facing the payments industry today, such as securing online transactions and enabling faster, more convenient ways to pay. 

The Network Delivery team within NAS works to deliver a full scale modernized Network including new digital products such as Debit, QR, Tokenization and Local Network solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks and adapt to local needs while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments. A role in the Network Delivery team will challenge you to broaden your skillset and industry acumen in a collaborative, diverse and inclusive team environment. We are looking for a talented Product Owner. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery lifecycle through solid engagements & efficient partnership with Customers, Product teams &Technology partners aligning to the enterprise strategy
• Ensure individual releases across the program drive the successful value delivery on the key program milestones and this delivery is of high quality.
• Support feature and user story definition sessions
• Establish acceptance criteria, test strategy, and write user acceptance test cases.
•  Maintaining the delivery pace of the program, without capacity waste, will be a key success metric of the role.
•  Maintain open communication channels with product managers, stakeholders, business partners, and technology partners
•  Co-ordinate communication, escalate and facilitate resolution of risks, issues and changes tied to the Product Backlog
• Ability to break down complex technical concepts into simple business terms linked to a business strategy.
•  Proven track record of coordinating between Business, Delivery, and Technology teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on a product roadmap
•  Partner with Quality team aligning to the “Shift Left” strategy through early engagements on features and release timelines
•  Maintain clarity of the minimum viable program delivery and ensure the program has the capacity to deliver its core potential and capabilities. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in working with technology as partners and working as one team
• Strong understanding of the Product Management lifecycle, with specific application of Scaled Agile delivery
• Proven track record of communication, influence, and leadership without authority
• High energy, an optimistic attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Payment network functionalities and payment technology experience
