As a Senior Architect - Systems Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and lifecycle management of advanced medical ultrasound imaging systems. Your expertise will be crucial in translating user and clinical requirements into technical specifications, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful realization of product releases. By driving innovation and maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance, you will directly contribute to improved patient outcomes and the advancement of medical imaging technology.



Your role:


  • Provide overall technical leadership and responsibility for the realization of new product releases and sustaining activities.


  • Translate user and clinical requirements into detailed technical specifications and design documents.


  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional development teams, including software, hardware, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration and high-quality product development.


  • Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.


  • Manage requirements traceability, defect management, and root cause analysis to ensure product reliability and performance.


  • Collaborate with senior management to define long-term system performance goals and develop multi-year R&D strategies.


  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing updates on system performance, milestones, and key metrics.


  • Ensure compliance with medical device regulations, including FDA, ISO, and IEC standards.


  • Stay current on trends in ultrasound technology and clinical practice to drive continuous improvement and innovation.


You are a part of


the System Design team of the Systems Engineering department in the Ultrasound R&D organization. We are a team of highly skilled people in the system design, system verification, usability and validation and software development domains. We are located in India, North America, China, and The Netherlands, and collaborate with other teams globally. 


You're the right fit if:


  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


  • 14+ years of relevant industry experience, with +5 years of experience in technical leadership role.


  • Proven experience in systems engineering and SW architecture in medical regulated industry


  • Experience with medical device regulations and standards, including FDA, ISO, and IEC.


  • Proficiency in requirements management tools such as JAMA Connect and IBM DOORS.


  • Very strong analytical skills, proven ability to understand dependencies within a complex system & break it down in manageable tasks & plans.


  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams across the globe


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This role is an office role.
