Working as a Senior Analyst - Supply Planner at Cooper Lighting Solutions is dynamic. You‘ll be responsible for building demand plan and to manage cross-functional coordination of key initiatives and processes specifically focused on Lighting segment. Planner must possess strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Planner will interface with all facets of the organization including Distribution, Manufacturing, Customer service, Sales, Marketing and Engineering.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for determining replenishment strategy and calculating appropriate planning levels to achieve target in-stock levels and planned inventory turns across 14 distribution centers.
- Manage transition of phase in, phase out products to maximize depletion of old material and ramp-up of new material to achieve inventory and service goals
- Work closely with the forecasting and development teams on new and existing business to ensure proper deployment of stock in the distribution network.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage flow of materials to meet service and inventory goals – i.e., expedites, cancelations, etc.
- Analyze results of key metrics and identify root cause of performance issues.
- Create and distribute monthly production forecast to purchase finished goods suppliers.
- Conduct calls with suppliers – review open orders, production forecasts, prioritization requirements, and performance issues.
- Develop tactical plans to support overall inventory optimization strategies focused on enhancing customer fulfillment with less on-hand inventory
- Maintain accurate master data profile in ERP system
- Work with production control personnel and division logistics planners to minimize overall supply chain costs and maximize supply chain efficiencies
- Advise internal customers of any issues with orders and/or pertinent shipping information.

- Should be able to coach new resources
- Experience in Process Transition, Documentation, and Creation of SOP/SOW.
- Understanding and Hands on experience of project management methodology
- Continuous Improvement through use of Lean Methodology.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university. Masters’ operations management will be plus.
- Minimum of 6–8-year supply chain experience.
- Master scheduling and demand planning experience.
- Proficiency in MS office.
- Supply Chain Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with SAP and SAP BW skills (or similar ERP system).
- Experience in Process Transition, Documentation, and Creation of SOP/SOW.
- Understanding and Hands on experience of project management methodology.
