The Senior Analyst, Inventory Accounting for Cytiva is responsible for certain global inventory accounting & reporting practices, primarily related to preparation of the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Reserves and other inventory reserves.

This position is part of the global India Finance COE located in Bangalore and will be on-site (working hours from 1.30 PM to 10.30 PM). At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Lead the preparation of the E&O reserve balances for the global Oracle legal entities (including manufacturing sites & distribution warehouses);
• Partner with Plant Controllers & Business Finance leaders to facilitate accurate & timely E&O reserves;
• Prepare & record the E&O quarterly General Ledger entries;
• Drive process improvement and automation;
• Implement global standard work to ensure E&O accuracy and link E&O movements to underlying business/site performance;
• Prepare inventory account reconciliations;
• Participate in global Sarbanes-Oxley testing of inventory processes;

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree /MBA in finance and Accounting/CA/ICWA with 10-15 years of experience in an accounting/finance position;
• Knowledge & experience of inventory accounting;
• Previously worked in a global business environment with experience of global processes & transactional flows;
• Proficient in Excel, including Pivots and Vlookups;
• Experience of ERP usage, for example Oracle or SAP;

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Strong analytical skills: able to analyze large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers, link financial results to operational performance and distil them into insightful analysis;
• Process improvement initiatives;
• Working in ambiguous situations: adaptable & open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances;
• BI tools, for example Qlik Sense, OneStream;
