Location: Hyderabad, India


The Purpose of the role


As a key member of the Catastrophe Modeling Team, he/she will be responsible for providing analytical and modeling support services for Corporate CAT Team. We are seeking a go-getter with research bent of mind in Catastrophe risk modeling.


The role includes handling complex account reviews and supporting Global TR Rollup using PTM/Risklink and SQl.


Responsibilities


  • Quickly learn and master Risklink accumulation and PTM functionalities. 
  • Shows high competency in understanding and applying more complex financial terms including reinsurance.
  • Reviews consolidated information to ensure codes, criteria and financial terms are accurate.
  • Provides results in the expected format for underwriters.
  • Will be working on TR peril - multiple lines of business (property, casualty and WC.)
  • Performs basic interpretation of the results (Ex: Client loss exceed/less than deductible, Gross loss exceeding limits, treaty recoveries) 
  • Communicates results and provides suggestions directly to the client. 
  • Models accounts independently and performs review of all nature of accounts.
  • Performs consolidation of regional portfolio to group level and performs due diligence checks on regional /group portfolio.
  • Attends and fully participates in client calls.
  • Communicate with business owner and other onshore counterparts to indicate understanding of the assigned tasks as well as to make clarifications when necessary.
  • Undertake analysis and/or research to identify anomalies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Complies with administrative activities, MIS reporting, and other compliance requirements as directed. 
  • Performs other related duties as required by the Team Lead and/or supervisor.

Required knowledge, Skills and qualifications


  • Driven individual with minimum of  6 years’ experience with Risklink interface and knowledge of RMS backend schema.
  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Actuarial science/ Statistics/ Mathematics / Economics/Engineering etc.
  • Proficiency in Excel and basic/intermediate SQL knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment with minimum supervision.
  • Able to work flexible schedule to accommodate business requirements and work requests from different time zones.
  • Proficiency in English language (verbal, written, comprehension).
