What is the Senior Analyst –Global Research Library responsible for?
  • Assist investment professionals across various Specialist investment managers (SIMs) and strategists with their research on companies, industries, and economies by utilizing depth and/or breadth of expertise and practical knowledge of research databases and investment processes. Works independently and/or under the aegis of a senior team member and develops sector / region level knowledge at an intermediate level. The complexity of tasks ranges from simple retrievals to medium-to-complex research requests such as information mining, data gathering, producing curated content, development and maintenance of models#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL


What are the ongoing responsibilities of Senior Analyst –Global Research Library?
  • Support investment professionals and strategists with their research responsibilities on companies, industries, economies, and topics by building expertise on a sector / region.


  • Become the focal point of contact for research on an assigned sector.


  • Develop strong level of understanding with the investment styles of different investment teams. Be flexible to support where and when needed as investment focus and time-demands shift.


  • Manage a high volume of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc client deliverables as well as the client requests.


  • Lead research assignments by partnering with senior team members.


  • Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to create compelling data driven stories on economies, industries, indices, and companies.


  • Look for ways to improve service levels and client experiences by regularly soliciting feedback via client outreaches.


  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment professionals and strategists by regularly soliciting feedback on assignments and accordingly incorporating them to improve service levels.


  • Proactively assist investment professionals and strategists by sharing information that’s deemed fit for their consumption based on your understanding of their needs.


  • Partner with senior team members in the identification and acquisition of new clients.


  • Lead mini projects and assignments under the aegis of senior team members.


  • Train junior team members as and when need arises.


What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • 7-11 years in the financial markets with minimum 4 years in a research support role.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or Engineering.


  • Master’s degree / Post graduate diploma in Arts, Science, Commerce or Engineering.


  • Desirable Certifications - CFA Level I Candidate, ESG certificates


Skills:


  • Intermediate level awareness of common data sources & investment research systems [Bloomberg, FactSet, Factiva, Nexis]


  • Statistical programming including intermediate skill in common tools & languages (Ex. R, Python, Excel, PPT etc.)


  • Pleasant personality with good verbal and written communication skills


  • Advanced level understanding of Macroeconomic and industry indicators


  • Advanced level understanding of company financials and fundamental research techniques.


  • Team player and a voracious reader with an avid interest in markets and economies.


Job Level - Individual Contributor


Work Shift Timings - 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST
