Role
Key member of the Enterprise Gateway Solutions (EGS) finance team with responsibility for a broad range of financial planning & analysis related responsibilities supporting the EGS organization. The financial planning & analysis function manages all aspects of management reporting, encompassing budgeting and forecasting, strategic and customer planning for the regional and global teams of Enterprise Gateway Services . This includes the management and execution of the corporate reporting and planning requirements.
In addition, the role is to provide finance support for investments relating to the wider Core Payments and Commercial & New Payment Flows business unit.
EGS financial planning & analysis support:
• Support the financial close process for EGS through the analysis of variances for revenues for all regions and for operating expenditure against budget, forecasts, prior year actuals, key business drivers, and initiatives.
• Review and provide thoughtful business-driven commentary to respective EGS business and regional management teams.
• Support, maintain, and create the development of the EGS annual plan/budget and forecast for the scheduled cycle. Also, be responsible for ensuring to upload accurate data into the Hyperion budgeting and forecasting tool.
• Work on producing financial reporting packages that will help drive and support the business, inclusive of business metrics/KPIs.
• Support the Finance Business Partner Manager with development of presentations and analysis of monthly business reviews as well as ad hoc presentations.
• Work closely with key global and regional business stakeholders to closely track revenues and costs, and understand drivers of performance.
• Investigate and create opportunities for automation and more efficient methods utilizing the budget and business need needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Investment Management:
• Oversee investment budgets and consolidate KPIs for our internal investment program, which focuses on funding new initiatives for Core Payments and Commercial & New Payment Flows.
• Collaborate with Strategy and Finance professionals to monitor investment progress.
• Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Contribute to identifying, evaluating, and selecting investment opportunities.
• Regularly review and recommend adjustments to ensure investments remain relevant and effective.
All about you
• Relevant qualification in business, accounting and/or Finance preferred
• Experience operating in a diverse, multi-functional accounting and/or finance group
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player; proactive and able to deliver within agreed deadlines
• Experience building internal and external business partnerships; develops and leverages key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders
• Exposure to supporting a designated business area on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging analytical techniques as well as
• outside trends and events
• Experienced with financial systems and applications; serves as a resource to those less experienced (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle, Excel)
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities; makes recommendations to further improve procedures
• Successfully resolves complex issues in a timely and efficient manner
