About the role:.

• Develop and support existing UI design and Usability flow of the FIS application.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to demonstrate design concepts and interactions.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs and provide necessary design assets and specifications.
• Collaborates with product teams to ensure user-cantered design process is incorporated into FIS development lifecycle.
• Design visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and project requirements.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to demonstrate design concepts and interactions.
• Interacts with Product managers and/or users to define system UI requirements and/or necessary modifications.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborates with engineers to design total human-computer interaction and to develop flow of information in FIS software applications.
• Acts as representative for FIS users and customers by focusing on user-centred design process by participating in field observations and interviews, surveys, focus groups, exploratory studies and task analyses.
• Researches and analyzes target audiences for software, conducts necessary front-end research and creates user profile for relevant products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure project consistency.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs and provide necessary design assets and specifications.
•  Attend Product Sprint Reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in cognitive science, computer science or interface/visual design or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Good working knowledge of graphical user interface principles and visual design principles.
• Knowledge of Graphic Design Tools: Visual assets, icons, graphics, and other graphical components of the user interface must be created using graphic design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Understanding of Wireframing and Prototyping Tools: Mastery of tools like Balsamiq, Axure RP and Figma for creating wireframes and interactive prototypes helps UI designers visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
• Responsive and Mobile Design: Knowing how to design interfaces that are responsive across various screen sizes and devices, and understanding mobile-first design principles, ensures that user experiences remain consistent and engaging.
• Design Systems and UI Libraries: Effectively utilizing and contributing to design systems and UI libraries speeds up the design process, encourages uniformity, and improves teamwork.
• Knowledge of CSS and Basic HTML: By having a basic understanding of CSS and basic HTML, UI designers may better collaborate with developers by knowing how designs are transformed into web elements.
• Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience of Agile Scrum will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in English
• Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
• Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
