Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to manage monthly book closures, ensure accurate financial records, oversee costing, and maintain compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations. This role is essential in upholding financial integrity and compliance within a dynamic transportation industry setting. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, in-depth industry knowledge, and excellent organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Book Closures: Manage and complete monthly and quarterly book closures, prioritizing accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Financial Records: Maintain detailed financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Taxation Compliance:
- Direct Tax: Prepare and file direct tax returns, manage tax liabilities, and assist with direct tax audits.
- Indirect Tax (GST): Ensure GST compliance by preparing and submitting filings, maintaining accuracy in calculations, and resolving any tax-related disputes.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with auditors by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries during internal and external audits.
- Costing: Analyze and manage cost-related data to improve cost efficiency, support pricing decisions, and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational objectives.
