Security Officer


Account Management – Work Dynamics


What this job involves:


About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Officer to oversee all aspects of security operations within our facility management division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols to ensure the safety of our personnel, assets, and properties.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies Manage and supervise the security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of security systems and equipment Investigate and report on security incidents and breaches Develop and manage the security budget Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Provide security awareness training to facility staff and occupants Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into overall facility management plans


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in security management, preferably in a facility management setting
  • Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance technologies, and access control systems
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in security management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other relevant industry certifications
  • Experience with emergency management and business continuity planning
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices

Bringing the team together to deliver the goods


Does teamwork come naturally to you? If so, you’re on the right path, as part of your scope is to promote collaboration to achieve our targets. As the person in charge, you’ll be on top of workload assignment—making sure that responsibilities are delegated to the right team member.


Likewise, you’ll carry out regular meetings to update the team on processes, leaves, and back up plans in place. You’ll also conduct one-on-one catch-up session with each team member to keep them up to speed on their scope of work, conduct, and career development.


Making massive progress across the board


Handling a senior role and a team of experts, there’s no other way but up. In this role, you’ll ensure that progress is constant by sourcing and developing opportunities for the growth of a given account. Likewise, you’ll encourage team members to participate in trainings.


Also part of your scope is to make sure that the project meets its financial targets. You’ll do this by ensuring that monthly accruals are sent on time, and that costs are appropriately calculated and presented to the client.  You’ll also see to it that invoices are processed within the target date.
