Job Description

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and configuration of IAM solutions, focusing on IBM Verify, in alignment with business requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders, such as IAM architects, business analysts, and application owners, to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Configure and customize IBM Verify components, such as authentication methods, user self-service features, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) policies.

Responsibilities


Technical Support and Issue Resolution:


  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IAM systems, specifically related to IBM Verify.
  • Investigate and diagnose technical issues, working with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Monitor IAM systems and components, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or performance bottlenecks.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or vendors, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
  • Incident Management and Service Requests:
  • Handle incident tickets and service requests related to IAM systems, prioritizing and resolving them within defined SLAs.
  • Document and track incidents and service requests, ensuring accurate and timely updates throughout the resolution process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as security, network, and application teams, to resolve incidents and implement necessary changes.
  • IAM System Administration and Maintenance:
  • Perform routine system administration tasks for IAM systems, including access management, user provisioning, and role-based access control.
  • Conduct system maintenance activities, such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes, while minimizing impact on production environments.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or gaps.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IAM system documentation, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ready to work 24/7 environment.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Proven experience (3+ years) in IAM implementation, administration, and support, with a focus on IBM Verify.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with IAM solutions, preferably IBM Verify.
  • Familiarity with IAM concepts, such as identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IAM systems and associated components.
  • Solid understanding of authentication protocols and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation for IAM tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
  • Willingness to stay updated on the latest IAM technologies, IBM Verify updates, and industry trends.tem health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or gaps.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IAM system documentation, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
