We’re looking for a Sales Sector Lead for our business in the Manufacturing sector across India and the main job function is to build a strong market presence and grew the revenue by onboarding new clients. You will comprehensively plan, manage and drive all sales and marketing activity for your sector. You’ll do this by building and developing a high-performing sector sales team, leading the team to deliver their best, and making sure we meet our KPIs. This role reports to the Head of Sales for India.

What you’ll do:


  • Proactively lead and manage a team of salespeople to create a high-performing sales culture
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop a highly competitive sector sales strategy
  • Create and maintain sales plans for the team, in line with the sector strategy
  • Manage the overall team opportunity pipeline in the CRM system for forecasting and fleet management purposes, and hold regular opportunity pipeline reviews
  • Assist in the modelling of Manufacturing Solutions to meet customers’ needs & develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage to the standard of the Aggreko “Non-Negotiables” & “Sales Leadership Blueprint” – with a significant focus on coaching and developing

You’ll have the following skills and experience:


  • Experience of leading & managing a high-performing sales team (of 3 or more people), with a proven track record in achieving team targets, ideally in the power generation and/or temperature control rental industry
  • Financially & commercially savvy, customer focused, and results driven
  • Technical minded, able to understand and learn about a wide range of products and applications
  • Process proficiency or prior formal training in sales processes with proven track record of utilizing CRM
  • Excellent interpersonal & relationship management skills - communicates clearly & effectively with all levels of stakeholders (internal and external)
  • A subject Matter expert with a strategic mindset & deep knowledge of the sector(s)
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and prioritize own workload as well as that of others
