Roles and Responsibilities·Assist in establishing & monitoring Project schedule and quality of design work including modelling & deliverables for the projects / programs headed by Project Lead Engineer in the respective regions.·Review Work-hour estimates and Schedule of deliverables for the discipline on proposals / projects carried out by Leads. Step in for discussion with HO DMs for proposals scope/efforts finalization & establish correct benchmarking.·Providing technical expertise and support to Leads on a project to ensure technical integrity.·Ensure to implement region specific requirements.·Section Head shall help leads in identifying technical risks and define mitigating actions. Shall collect, analyze and share best practices followed on GID projects and shall be responsible for guiding the team to meet quality expectations.·Involve in major issues and in problem solving, achieving major milestones and guide leads in implementation of Lessons Learned across Program/Projects.·Section Head shall attend the biweekly call along with the Managers (HO) of their assigned regions. Shall assist and support Department Manager in building good relationship with lead office and carrying out departmental activities.·Section Head will be the ‘go-to' person for new work / projects for KAMs / PMs / PEMs.·Resolve Interface issues by coordinating with other discipline section heads·Conduct regular meetings with Project Lead Engineers & respective team members and review following, as a minimum:oAdherence to MS & KSoBillability and productivity on projectsoSchedule adherence & analysisoCompetencies challenges & mitigationsoQuality issues faced on projects, including TPRs / Spot Checks etc.oCarry out Risk analysis, reviews & audits to capture Pro-active actions in order to avoid potential issues on a projectoProject / Department KPIs and their statusoSustainability and SIDoDatacentric approach implementation on all projects / program in their region.oDigital Bots implementation on all projects / program in their region, planned savings vs actual & follow up actions, creating awareness among teams·Shall ensure that the resources within the group are effectively utilized in co-ordination with DM.·Ensures that all leads in the group are proactive in raising timely variation notes, in case of change of scope/rework, and in raising the timely concerns in case of delays if any with valid reasons.·In addition to above function as a Lead Engineer on a dedicated project.·Regular connect with other SHs in their discipline to align on all common areas & LLs / VEs sharing. Cross learning & sharing is critical.·Developing IDP for next level including succession planning with DM·Competency improvement discussions with DM for his/her region & support DM for actions Civil Engineering degree is a must. Minimum 20 years in Civil Department of a consultancy organization or technical services department of a Refinery / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Chemical plant is a Must, out of which minimum 12 years should be in an engineering consultancy carrying out detail engineering for process / industrial plants in 3D environment.Proficiency in use of analysis / design software's like STAAD-pro, proficiency in design as per Indian and international codes like American, Euro, Canadian or British.
