QE Automation Engineer
Overview:
We are looking for a QA Tester to join the Data Engineer team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for QA, Loading Testing and Automation of various data-driven pipelines. The position involves Functional testing and Automation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale data and automation testing of ETL processes.
• Do manual testing by identifying high-ROI test cases
• You will be monitoring each phase of the development process, ensuring design and quality standards
• Be an integrated part of an Agile engineering team, working interactively with software engineer leads, architects, testing engineers, and product managers from the beginning of the development cycle
• Help ensure functionality delivered in each release is fully tested end to end
Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment
All About You
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience with hands on technical and quality engineering skills
• Overall 3-5 years of career experience into Manual and Automation Testing
• Expertise in testing methods, standards, and conventions including automation and test case creation
• Excellent technical acumen, strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication, and proven leadership skills
• Experience in testing ETL processes
• Knowledge of Python, Hadoop, Spark, SQLs, APIs (REST/SOAP)
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
• Experience with Performance Testing
• Experience with DevOps practices (continuous integration and delivery, and tools such as Jenkins)
Nice to have knowledge or prior experience with any of the following
• Apache Kafka, Apache Spark with Scala
• Orchestration with Apache Nifi, Apache Airflow
• Microservices architecture
• Build tools like Jenkins
• Databricks, AWS
• Working with large data sets with terabytes of data
