About the Role:


MRC builds applications which are frequently used by Falcon, threat researchers and other teams within the Research & Development and Data Science organizations. The software engineer in Test is expected to add automated testing capabilities to ensure the application functions as expected with quality. Automated testing should focus more on End-To-End test and integration testing. This person should be capable of independent execution, problem solving and demonstrate passion towards engineering excellence.


What You’ll Do:


  • You will understand the business use cases, identify key areas to add End-to-End test cases


  • Develop and maintain testing frameworks for front and backend applications


  • Write E2E test cases in collaboration with development team


  • Develop a long term strategy and plan to obtain good E2E coverage across MRC Applications


  • Setup automated test pipelines, alerting and reporting


What You’ll Need:


  • BS or more in Computer Science


  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) manual plus automation role in product based  companies.


  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Cypress)


  • Experience in building and maintaining test automation suites for multiple complex applications


  • Solid understanding of API testing and service oriented architecture


  • Experience with testing WebUI applications


  • Experience with configuring CICD platform to automate testing and alerting


  • Load/Performance testing along with knowledge of tools for benchmarks (Grafana)


  • Experience in one or more high level programming languages (e.g. Python, Go,etc.) 


  • Solid understanding of object oriented programming


  • A good working knowledge of cloud components such as Amazon services. 


  • Experience with automating workflows through JSON API use and design.


  • Experience in working with relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases technologies like MySQL, Cassandra, ElasticSearch etc.


  • A solid background in software engineering. This includes good coding standards, source control, documentation of design, issue tracking, and producing results which are supportable.


  • The ability to work across the organization to understand requirements and prioritize them per the overall business goals, communicating those priorities back to the stakeholders.

  • Willingness to learn. Cloud technology is moving quickly. The ideal technical solution may need some research and learning of new components. Openness to learning new languages and technology is key to success.



Bonus Points:


  • Experience in the security domain is an added advantage  


  • Familiarity with Agile development concepts. This role requires frequent iterations on features and quick turnaround. Designing for agile style iteration will improve likelihood of success for meeting business timelines.
