Job Description

In this role, the Senior Scrum Master – Information Services works directly with Agile Delivery Teams to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of work.  This role will report into the Head of Technical Strategy and Execution and will lead all aspects of Scrum Master activity overall, participate and sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives and facilitating the growth of an Agile culture.  The Scrum Master will be responsible for tracking and measuring delivery and reporting to collaborators a variety of sprint and delivery metrics.

Role Responsibilities


  • Drive scrum ceremonies, including, scheduling and facilitating daily stand-ups, guiding team through backlog grooming, leading retrospectives and working to resolve impediments.
  • Coach and lead Agile practices to Delivery teams, promoting a delivery approach and a focus on shipping.
  • Develop an understanding of the products, capabilities, and business to help drive better delivery of value.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are properly and fully defined prior to acceptance into an iteration/sprint.
  • Build solid relationships with Technology and Business Leads to ensure alignment of delivery
  • Produce Agile metrics and reports for Delivery Teams and for Collaborators, driving a data-driven culture.
  • Promote Agile principles through active participation in LSEG Agile Communities of Practice and build a culture of continuous improvement.  Create an environment of trust within Delivery teams.

Minimum Requirements


  • College degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of finance industry and experience with working/leading alongside of development teams.
  • Proven experience in an Agile software environment with a minimum of three years as a hands-on Scrum Master.
  • In-depth and deep working experience with Agile and Scrum, particularly Scaled Agile environments.  SAFe experience is preferred.
  • Working experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Confidence in presenting and working with a multifacet collaborator group, including senior customers.  Strong interpersonal skills are meaningful, both written and verbal, as well as ability to build trust across teams.
  • Understanding and experience with Cloud services (e.g., AWS) is preferred

Business / Sector expertise


Experience in financial services with an understanding of financial market data would be beneficial


The candidate will have dual reporting into Agile Delivery Manager based in London and Manager, Index based in Bucharest with Shared Technology division
