School Engagement Manager


About the role


As part of the Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) team, Schools Engagement Manager (SEM) - South Asia will be instrumental in developing and implementing engagement and outreach strategies for international high schools within the assigned region.


As part of this school’s engagement strategy, the SEM will be responsible for on-the-ground recruitment activities, including counsellor training, attending events (e.g., school fairs, career fairs), driving and converting student leads, and collaborating with the Marketing & Recruitment team to develop targeted promotional collateral.


The role requires the ability to support a broad range of internal and external stakeholders primarily across the South Asia region and to drive long-term growth for Navitas University Pathways in the market.


Schools Account Management


  • Operate as a point of contact for matters specific to schools within remit, escalating items as required to the Director, Global Schools Engagement
  • Utilise a CRM to record communication & activity with school partners & monitor student applications
  • Produce regular comprehensive reports
  • Manage issues and escalate through appropriate channels when necessary
  • Effectively manage customer relationships with pro-active, regular and structured communication and implementation processes
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting, and trusted relationships with Schools and which result in student enrolments for Navitas University Pathways

Business Development


  • Proactively seek out partnerships with Schools and School related organizations & Associations who seek to enrol students in higher education, to drive business to Navitas University Pathway programs
  • Respond to and follow up with enquiries from students & high school counsellors utilising appropriate internal processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the identification, and growth opportunities through collaboration with the Business
  • Gain access to prospects and relevant corporate contacts to explore new opportunities
  • Assist with the monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • To work with GSM to identify opportunities where ‘feeder’ relationship can be established.

Industry Engagement


  • Develop strong relationships at the appropriate levels with relevant industries, with the aim of generating internship opportunities.
  • Contribute to local marketing activities and promotion of products, directions, and strategies
  • Participate in networking events, and other external-fronting industry engagement opportunities and activities and events
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to develop external facing promotional material

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience


  • Passion for helping students to achieve their potential – regardless of their academic background
  • Experience working with high school students or high school counsellors in advising OR sales orientated role
  • High level numeric literacy and critical thinking
  • High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including Business level written and oral capability in English
  • Proven ability as a team player
  • An eye for developing new recruitment initiatives
  • Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings to support the recruitment activities both local and international.
  • Ability to meet targets within defined timelines among changing priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree (education in Business, Marketing, Communications particularly valued)
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with ability to handle conflicting priorities and tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail in delivery
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Experience using related analytical software and CRM systems
