Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented
Satellite Operator to join our dynamic team. The role involves monitoring, controlling, and maintaining satellite systems to ensure optimal performance and uninterrupted operations. The Satellite Operator will work in a
shift-based schedule to support the continuous operations of satellite systems.
Key Responsibilities:Satellite Operations & Monitoring- Operate and monitor satellite and ground control systems using advanced software tools.
- Analyze telemetry data to ensure satellite health and detect anomalies.
- Execute orbital maneuvers, station-keeping, and payload operations as required.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on satellite status and operations.
Anomaly resolution- Identify, troubleshoot, and respond to operational issues promptly.
- Coordinate with engineering teams for the resolution of system anomalies.
- Implement contingency plans during emergencies to minimize service disruptions.
Ground segment- Collaborate with the ground software team to ensure the proper functioning of the Mission control software.
- Contribute to the automation of nominal operations.
- Work with the ground software team to streamline nominal operations, command scheduling, and health monitoring of the satellite’s critical parameters.
Prerequisites:- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of satellite communications or space systems (e.g., CCSDS, ITU standards).
- Programming or scripting knowledge for automation and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, etc.).
- Familiarity with satellite simulation and control tools (e.g., STK, GMAT).
- Familiarity with telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical systems under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment, including night shifts and weekends.
