Job Description
Astrome Technologies is seeking a Satellite Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team working on satellite systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and integration of satellite subsystems, ensuring their performance and reliability in the harsh environment of space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for satellite structures, including the satellite bus, payload integration platforms, and deployment mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and integrate subsystems into the overall satellite design.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to evaluate the structural integrity of designs against launch and operational loads.
- Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including CAD models, assemblies, and technical specifications.
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components, and coordinate testing to validate design performance.
- Conduct design reviews and evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
