SAP Basis job involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting SAP systems. 
Responsibilities

Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment



As SAP HANA administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the performance, security, and availability of SAP HANA databases, including tasks like monitoring system health, performing backups and recovery operations, optimizing database performance, managing user access, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing best practices to ensure smooth operation of the HANA environment. 
Key responsibilities of a SAP HANA administrator:
System monitoring:
Continuously monitor HANA system performance metrics like CPU usage, memory utilization, disk space, database replication status, and identify potential bottlenecks. 
Performance tuning:
Analyze query performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement database tuning techniques to improve query execution times. 
Backup and recovery:
Implement and maintain robust backup strategies, including full backups, incremental backups, and point-in-time recovery to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures. 
User management:
Create, manage, and maintain user accounts and access privileges within the HANA system. 
Security administration:
Implement and enforce security policies to protect sensitive data, including user authentication, authorization controls, and data encryption. 
High availability (HA) management:
Configure and maintain HA configurations to ensure continuous database operation in case of hardware failures. 
Patch management:
Apply necessary SAP HANA patches and updates to maintain system stability and security. 
Capacity planning:
Monitor system resource usage and proactively plan for future capacity needs to avoid performance degradation. 
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to database connectivity, data corruption, performance issues, and system errors. 
Reporting and analysis:
Generate reports on system health, performance metrics, and usage patterns to identify areas for improvement. 
Required skills for a SAP HANA administrator:
Strong understanding of SAP HANA database architecture, features, and functionalities
Expertise in SQL and HANA specific query optimization techniques
Knowledge of database administration concepts like backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery
Proficiency in HANA Studio and other HANA administration tools
Understanding of SAP Basis concepts and system landscape
Experience with system monitoring and performance analysis tools
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
