Role Purpose:


Rockwell Automation's Salesforce enables Software and Service contracts and renewal process and is a critical application for our digital transformation to allow annual recurring revenue.


As an experienced and passionate member of an agile capability team you will deploy leading edge engineering and product configuration solutions to deliver value to our customers. The team uses multiple technologies including Azure cloud to provide these new solutions.


Responsibilities:


The SalesForce . Engineer designs and implements solutions that enables our goals and outcomes. The technologies include--but are not necessarily limited to Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, and integration/ETL technologies. The Sr. Engineer would also serve in a SF platform solution expert & maintains an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem. Engage with Solution architects in designing capabilities by using the SalesForce platform to address our needs and simplifying the integrations with other Rockwell systems.


  • Work with Delivery Managers, Partners, Business Process Owners, business analysts, developers to design solutions to meet our needs following industry best practices
  • Work collaboratively and apply in facilitating technical discussions and presentations
  • Play the role of a technical SME in internal strategic programmes to grow the platform
  • Be a active contributor to the knowledge base and expertise of the SalesForce platform.
  • Specialise in gathering and analysing information and designing comprehensive solutions that are flexible and adaptable.
  • Soft skills and ability to work with business and technical team to discuss needs and opportunities and translate them into solutions.
  • Provide oversight and coach junior members on the team to apply best practices, including estimating work, test-driven development practices, configuration over customization Teams would include vendor partners.
  • Serve in a release manager capacity to plan and lead the team through releases.

Experience and Education


  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 yrs of experience as a Salesforce developer

Salesforce Expertise:


  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform and its multiple components.
  • Proficiency in Apex programming language for custom development.
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning and Lightning Components.
  • Understanding of Salesforce data model and security model.

CPQ Knowledge:


  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce CPQ (formerly known as Steelbrick CPQ).
  • Configure and customise CPQ solutions based on our requirements.
  • Experience with Price Rules, Discount Schedules, Product Rules, and other CPQ functionalities.

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Apex, Visualforce, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs for integrating Salesforce with other systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with Experience cloud.

Integration Skills:


  • Experience integrating Salesforce CPQ with other business systems, such as ERP or billing platforms.
  • Knowledge of middleware tools like MuleSoft or Salesforce Integration Cloud.

Customization and Configuration:


  • Proficiency in customising Salesforce CPQ objects, layouts, and workflows.
  • Create custom validation rules, triggers, and automation.

Test and Debugging:


  • Test and debugging skills to ensure the stability and reliability of CPQ solutions.
