Salesforce Developer - Insurance Workbench


India


AXA XL are creating a new delivery model based on agile and a new vendor model to enable more efficient delivery of technology with the business fully embedded in what we deliver.This Digital Factory will first deliver new capabilities for Fusion Transformation and then will be rolled out to other capabilities within GT (Global Technology) and IDA (Innovation, Data & Analytics).


As an experienced Lead Developer within the Digital Factory, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of digital solutions for our insurance workbench product.You are a highly skilled Lead Developer to join our dynamic product in the underwriting customer Journey. As a Lead Developer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and implementing our insurance workbench application on the Salesforce platform. Your expertise in scaled agile methodologies, design thinking, user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), cloud integration, and API development will be essential in driving the success of digital transformation.

What will your essential responsibilities include?


  • Drive the development of building and maintaining of our insurance workbench application on the Salesforce platform by digitizing our underwrirting customer journey.
  • Leverage your expertise in Salesforce to design and integrate relevant modules, customizations, and configurations into the Insurance Workbench, optimizing the platform for efficient workflows and data management.
  • Define and implement the overall solution architecture for our Insurance Workbench, ensuring it aligns with business goals, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and mentor developers of the insurance workbench and collaborate across cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality solutions. Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and promote best practices throughout the development process.
  • Lead the development of APIs to facilitate data exchange and connectivity with external systems and partners.
  • Apply design thinking principles to understand user needs and create intuitive user experiences (UX) and customer experiences (CX) within the workbench application.
  • Design and document business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standards to optimize workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, automated testing, and code reviews to deliver reliable and maintainable software.
  • Design Thinking & UX/CX: Employ Design Thinking methodologies to empathize with end-users, understand their pain points, and design intuitive, user-centric interfaces that enhance the overall customer experience (CX) and user experience (UX).
  • Business Process Modelling: Utilize BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to model and optimize insurance-related workflows, ensuring the system supports efficient business processes.
  • Champion a product-led agile approach to development, aligning the team's efforts with the product vision, customer needs, and business objectives.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:


  • Proven experience as a Lead Developer and Solution Architect, with a track record of successfully delivering complex salesforce solutions in complex enterprise environments, insurance domain expertise is a plus.
  • Proficiency in customizing and developing on the salesforce platform using Apex and Visual force.
  • In-depth knowledge and experiences in Design Thinking, UX, CX, BPMN, and cloud-based integration.
  • Significant leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively guide and collaborate with development product squads, stakeholders, and business users.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and devise effective solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • A deep understanding of (Scaled) Agile principles and a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing product requirements and embrace emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with agile tools and software, such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
