Job Description

The Role of the Head of Sales


  • Delivery of a monthly/quarterly/annually sales target and additional KPIs set by the board.
  • Motivating, supervising, targeting, reviewing, and monitoring the efforts of your sales team on a continuous basis to meet those KPI’s.
  • Working with the management to implement growth strategies that support the business through analysing sales team performance and processes.
  • Recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of new and existing sales team members.
  • Direct work and contact with key business customers and, on occasion, suppliers to ensure excellent customer service and sales growth.
  • Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Supply Chain to improve order fulfilment efficiency and customer service.
  • Managing all practical aspects of the sales office, to create a pleasant and productive sales environment.
  • Working with the management to deploy tools, systems, and ERP improvements to enhance the business operations.
  • Responsible for all sales representation for brand promotion as established by management.

Who The Company Are Looking For?


  • Reporting directly to the management, it is envisaged that you will be a clear, confident and persuasive communicator that relishes pressure and wants to work in a company growing rapidly.
  • You will have experience in a digitally enabled business where customer relationships are managed by the sales team remotely.
  • Previous experience of entirely managing all aspects of an office-based sales team of at least 10 people, serving large numbers of enquiries rapidly, via phone and email.
  • Experience in implementing staff training, SOPs, process, and controls, and management tools to improve sales and business efficiency.
  • Extensive experience of recruitment and staffing management for previous teams as you will need to grow the team to meet customer demands.
