Business Information: The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Mission Statement: As a S&OP Process Development Specialist you will be part of India Operation Center (INOPC-PG) where your key activities will include development of innovative and data-driven solutions that bridge the gap between sales, operations and supply chain management. By designing dynamic dashboards and integrated planning tool from various platforms and ensuring seamless supply chain operations. Your responsibilities: Identify key metrics and KPIs that will provide actionable insights to support S&OP decisions (e.g., Sales Forecast Accuracy, Production Forecast Accuracy, Material Availability). Assess the data requirements for developing the tool, considering the integration of data from various platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Nextra) to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Solid understanding of the sales & operation (S&OP) process and develop a tool to plan materials based on sales firm orders and BOM data. Estimate non-BOM material requirements based on sales orders and forecasts. Aggregate material planning data at factory, HUB, and BU levels. Design dashboards to provide visual insights and trends, allowing for real-time monitoring and quick decision-making. Develop a tool that shows the supply plan of the S&OP and ensuring it can handle both BOM and non-BOM material requirements. Experience with BI tools (Power BI) to develop dashboards and reports for tracking S&OP performance metrics. Extract, clean, and transform data from various platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Nextra etc) and build tools/dashboards. Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor the KPI’s (Sales Forecast accuracy, Production Forecast Accuracy, supply plan accuracy, material availability %, etc..) and provide actionable insights. Implement visualizations that provide a clear, hierarchical view of data, from the Business Unit (BU) level down to the factory level. Improving the quality of reports by assessing and validating the data. Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of data quality and completeness. Manage the tools developed and provide support for the users. Capable of managing technical issues, tasks, and timelines. Working in a respectful, friendly Team which is growing fast. Creating and maintaining documents for data sources, transformations, and visualization best practices. Your Background: Bachelor’s degree B.E/B.Tech in relevant field. Proven experience in developing dashboards and tools for S&OP Process. Familiarity and hands-on experience in working with platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Nextra & ERP systems. Knowledge of data integration methods between different platforms and systems. Experience in translating business requirements into data-driven tools that enable efficient decision making. Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools, with demonstrated experience creating reports and dashboards for S&OP Performance KPI’s. Strong capabilities of DAX queries / DAX functions / Power Query Editor. Proficient in SQL for querying and managing databases. Knowledge of tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate etc. Knowledge of HE / PGTR organizational structure & operational KPIs preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
