The Job:


The Sales & Marketing Manager Reports to National Sales Manager.


You’ll get to:


Sales Leadership:


  • Lead regional sales of DC Torque Tools to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement a regional sales plan to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Educate customers on Stanley products through commercial handling, application studies, demos, and detailed technical walkthroughs.

Customer Engagement:


  • Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Liaise closely with the customer's product/engineering team to ensure alignment and position Stanley as a solution provider.
  • Offer customer training and support pre-sale demonstrations and trade show exhibitions.

Technical and Commercial Management:


  • Conduct RFQ studies, submit techno-commercial offers, negotiate, and close agreements.
  • Develop and write specifications, performance requirements, and technical analyses to present attractive propositions to customers.
  • Coordinate with Stanley Principals Unit for technical assistance, application studies, project studies, BOM preparation, 3D modeling, and configuration making.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, suggesting improvements where necessary.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Keep management informed about major market developments and competitor activities.

Strategic Planning and Execution:


  • Assist the BU head in creating budgets and strategic plans for DC Tools based on business plans.
  • Prepare sales strategies for business expansion and ensure the attainment of sales targets and profitability.
  • Implement action plans for market penetration through demos, trials, and technical presentations.

Team Coordination and Development:


  • Liaise with and work alongside sales and service engineers.
  • Prepare action plans for direct reports to effectively service customers and leads.
  • Monitor the service team to ensure service standards are met and assist in resolving customer complaints and issues.

Market Research and Business Development:


  • Perform research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities.
  • Build and update a potential customer database, including machine configurations and installed systems.

Inventory and Financial Management:


  • Ensure inventory levels are within permissible limits.
  • Responsible for the collection of payments and relevant documentation from the customer base.

Product Development Feedback:


  • Offer feedback on future product development, features, and functions to improve offerings.

Reputation Building:


  • Build the reputation of Stanley Engineered Fastening as a solution provider for relevant customer requirements.

The Person:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/Mechatronics)


Experiences:


  • 5-8 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, and Application Study of DC Torque Tightening Tools.
  • Experience in sales and service responsibilities of capital equipment, preferably in welding equipment or robotics.
  • Past experience in torque tool selling is a must.
  • Understanding of Automobile OEMs and Tier suppliers' functioning.

Skills / Personalities:


  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of performing professional presentations and demonstrations for all product types targeted for the region.
  • Self-motivated and ready to take on new assignments and opportunities.
  • Able to develop new sales strategies based on prior experience.
  • Proactive and anticipates potential problems before they can hinder the company’s success.
  • Possess good customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within India.
