Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
The Sales Aid Developer will be responsible for various aspects of the global Sales Aid (imSMART) platform. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, building, deploying, and supporting all processes across the Sales Aid (imSMART) platform in the 3M environment. This position requires knowledge of the imSMART platform, development processes and implementing global IT applications such as value calculators and product selectors within the platform. The applicant will need to collaborate with onsite and offsite teams as well as the vendor project manager and developers to ensure proper delivery of solutions. The developer will be responsible for participating in scrum events, leveraging knowledge of Sales Aid (imSMART) components to solve technical problems, developing new functionality, and troubleshoot issues.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of web and iOS development experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Strong technical foundation: advanced structured programming, relational database concepts and structures, structured system analysis and design methods.
- Understands web services and other technologies that can be used to transport data in an enterprise environment.
Skills Required:Technical Skills
To perform in this role, a candidate should have a strong understanding of the following:
Web and iOS Application Development:
- Developing web applications using Angular JS (1) & Angular (2+)
- Building iOS applications using Ionic
- Building Web applications using Angular Material
- Composing asynchronous code using RxJS
- Creating responsive designs optimized for different iOS platforms (iPhone, iPad)
- Knowledge of CSS, SCSS and Bootstrap for styling and layout
- Utilize vendor’s SDK methods to implement platform specific functionality in apps
- Using REST APIs to integrate external data and services
- Understanding of AWS cloud which includes S3 and EC2
- Version control done with Git
Database Management:
- Build and query DBs using SQL (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN)
- Experience with database schema design
ElasticSearch:
- Familiar with ElasticSearch’s data model
- Capable of utilizing ElasticSearch features such as indexing, querying and modifying documents using Kibana and APIs.
Soft skills
- Good judgment, and decision-making skills to objectively understand an issue and determine the best holistic resolution.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver results working on a small team.
- Proven ability to identify, focus, and own, high priority tasks to manage delivery to project timelines.
- Ability to explain concepts and train other developers in a confident manner
